A former IHOP manager has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for raping a 17-year-old employee under his supervision at the restaurant south of Covington.
Ehab Ahab Mohamed, 35, was convicted of forcible rape on Feb. 13 after a jury deliberated eight hours about the Jan. 26, 2007, incident.
State Judge William Knight on Tuesday sentenced him to 17 years, two of which are without the benefit of parole. Of the remaining 15 years, Mohamed must serve at least 85 percent, or 12 3/4 years, in prison, according to sentencing guidelines for the crime.
