Crime In New Orleans
I remember after Katrina hit everyone thought that crime was going to suddenly go away. I feel that we had a chance as a city to do so but we let it slip away. Now everyday it seems like shit just gets worse and worse. The mayor takes big trips to other city’s to try to find better ways to deal with these issues. Lets not blame the crime on lack of police officers because before the storm it was the same shit. If you take the amount of people we had before Katrina verses the amount of police officers there were and divide it. Then do the same now, something ain’t right you do the math. I don’t think we need more police out there. If you could take the same amount of cops we have now and exchange them for cops who give a fuck, we might be alright. If we could stop funding these crooked ass politicians personal vacations, big fancy dinners and lunches. Keep them from skimming money out of our city schools then we might actually be getting somewhere. Lets start from the top and work our way down. TRAGIC

Mr. Tragic:
I agree with you 100%. Soon after HK, I relocated to South Florida for 6 weeks and looked forward to the day I was allowed to return home.
My family and I returned to the Westbank exactly 6 weeks after HK….and I still question myself why. The schools are improving at a slow pace and the crime is increasing rapidly. What is wrong with that statement?
Our representatives need to stop pointing fingers and start using the power and resources they have to improve our community and surrounding areas.
Forget the tourist…we should take care of OUR own people first…OUR children, OUR elderly, OUR sick, OUR homeless.
The frustration is here….but a very small amount of people are actually moving towards a better tomorrow.
WE need to make changes. The way we think. The way we act and react. The way we represent ourselves to the world. We must change to give the following generations a chance to enjoy New Orleans.

We need to keep OUR traditions alive!!!
Much Love New Orleans, Yese
I have to say I live in Kenner and did so before the storm. When I returned, I returned to the same house. I love Kenner. People can complain about the police out here all they want but in my opinion they do a great job. Some are Aholes but you are going to have a little of that everywhere you go. On the whole, though, they do a decent job. I have not really seen too much of the crime that everyone else is experiencing. And the areas that were notorious for crime are even a little calmer. Maybe some of the other areas need to take a lesson from Kenner.
